General Manager Ulta Beauty

Pay Range: $87,360 $120,640 per year.

Overview

Ulta Beauty, a leading beauty retailer, seeks a General Manager to lead a single retail store, including salon. The GM will drive sales growth, deliver superior guest experience, and uphold Ulta Beautys mission, vision, and values.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Performance: Promote accountability, drive sales growth, manage payroll, deliver operational excellence, perform makeup and skincare services, maintain attendance, and stay informed on industry trends.
• People: Recruit, hire, develop, and retain a diverse team, address policy violations, build an inclusive culture, provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, and support training.
• Process: Ensure compliance with policies, uphold dress code, use scheduling and task tools, protect assets, execute inventory controls, and communicate operations to field leadership.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree preferred.
• Experience: 35+ years in retail management or related fastpaced environment; proven record of topline sales, financial management, inventory control, and team leadership.
• Skills: Proficiency with POS, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices; excellent communication; strong collaboration; organizational ability; adaptability under pressure.
• Special Position Requirements: Flexible fulltime schedule (days, evenings, weekends, holidays); ability to close store once per week; availability for corporate meetings, travel, and overnight stays.

Working Conditions

• Frequent computer and telephone use, continuous mobility, bending, pushing, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous walking, coordination, and object manipulation during shift.
