Job Title: Medical Billing Assistant

Location: Baltimore, MD 21205

Workplace Type: On-site

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Contract Duration: 3 months (through March)

Start Date: ASAP

Overview

We are seeking a Medical Billing Assistant to join a busy outpatient billing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and billing experience in a healthcare setting who is highly organized and comfortable working with financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Process patient payments and set up payment plans
• Post payments and perform charge entry
• Reconcile and review billing data
• Enter information into EPIC and work from EPIC work queues to assist with overflow
• Support billers with additional administrative tasks as assigned
• Perform accurate and timely data entry

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of administrative experience within a billing team or related function (e.g., prior authorization, AR, patient financial services) in a healthcare setting
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Excel
• Organized and detail-oriented

• 100% on-site, first shift

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
